What this workflow does
Product Image Optimizer runs 3 operations in sequence on every uploaded product image: (1) compress to JPEG at configurable quality for fast page loading, (2) convert to selected output format (JPEG/WebP/PNG), (3) optionally strip EXIF metadata for privacy and smaller file size. The result is one ZIP per run containing all optimized images, ready to upload to your store.
Format guide
JPEG: Smallest file size, best for product photos on websites. WebP: Best compression-to-quality ratio, supported by all modern browsers. PNG: Lossless, supports transparency, larger file size. Use WebP for best results.
Compression tips
Quality 75-85% gives the best balance of file size and visual quality for product photos. Below 65% may show artifacts on smooth surfaces. Above 90% the file size increases significantly with minimal quality gain.
